Peter Rabbit: Easter Brunch

Easter is on its way, and the best way to navigate any holiday includes snacks and pretty table setting, right? I'm always looking for ways to make moments extra special, and Easter is no different. There's just something about letting my creative juices flow and turning it into something my little guys can enjoy that excites me. I decided that rather than filling bowls with candies and chocolates to go the brunch route.

What inspired brunch? If I’m completely honest I just really wanted to use fresh carrots and I just couldn't imagine carrots next to chocolate bunnies. Like most of my ideas I get a vision in my head and then I head over to pinterest to see if anyone else had similar ideas. What I love about pinterest is that your simple search brings you down a different rabbit hole with every click. So I'm sharing mine here in hopes that it will be an inspiration for you!

Creating concepts for parties is always tricky for me, mainly because I am incredibly indecisive. There are so many great ideas and items out there- but sometimes I have to keep in mind that I can't do it all (meaning all my ideas) at once. I also knew that I wanted to keep it simple, more on the peter rabbit side of things and less overly pastel. Peter Rabbit caters to a more realistic perspective of decoration, natural (which worked out perfectly for my desire to incorporate fresh carrots.

Let's start with the snacks, we kept it very simple and included some of their favs, cheese, crackers and grapes are actually the most requested snack in my house from the boys. I got hot cross buns really for myself, growing up they were a fave and I wanted to share it with the boys and they look beautiful so it worked out!

The decorations came together pretty well, I purchased the bunny plates from Bon + Co Party Studio and the complimentary scalloped plates and cups from, Olive & Hare and lastly I purchased cutlery from Party Et Cie . I was able to find both the wooden board and watering can from my local dollar store. A friend of mine lent me her greenery backdrop and that's it. You can definitely achieve a cute set up without breaking the bank...
